Perspective of Entry

Axonometric Perspective of Living Room

Situated in Savannah, Georgia, this is the residence of first-time homeowners eager to integrate traditional charm into their recently renovated 1950s ranch. Focusing on the entryway, living room, and library, these spaces are envisioned in an English Country style with coastal influences, with antiques and eclectic décor.

The living room was divided into functional zones to balance style and practicality. The entry hall was defined by placing a table parallel to the wall, providing a convenient landing area for keys, shoes, and bags. Wainscoting and chair railing were proposed to create architectural interest and complement Savannah’s classic charm, creating a functional coat rack wall that is visually appealing and practical.

Adjacent to the entryway zone, the living room features two bold-patterned sofas facing each other, maximizing lounge space while encouraging conversation when entertaining guests. Additionally, a row of cabinets under the television provides storage for entertainment media such as movies, video games, and board games.

At the clients’ request, a wall-to-wall bookshelf was added to their library, maximizing book storage and offering them room to display souvenirs and personal trinkets. Painting the room in a deep, dark green adds a rich and timeless touch alongside the antique furnishings, creating a magical and cozy retreat for reading and writing. This blend of traditional elements and personal touches ensures that the home reflects Savannah’s classic elegance and the homeowners’ unique style.
